It's been bliss snuggling up in my new aztec print cardigan. Winter here in NZ has just been brutal and I have been struggling to shake the constant sickness for the past few months now. I am just not myself during winter. I get cabin fever, I seem to always get sick and it's hard to stay active, so roll on Spring already!

It's my day off tomorrow! At last, one day out of the week where I can invest in some time in the things I love. Tomorrow I will be trying my luck at making some cake pops, I am also hoping to get a hair cut due to the fact that my hair is driving me nuts. I just can't decide whether I want to grow or cut it again...arghh! Choices, choices haha!

We enjoyed a lovely lazy day off sleeping in late and enjoying some free time to ourselves. Winter is here sadly and it's time to get into your knits, winter slippers and start sculling those hot chocolates in front of the heater.

A quick hi from the comfort of my bed. I had a great day today and enjoyed catching up with friends, sleeping in, blogging, reading Frankie Magazine & putting together puzzle pieces.

Last week was also a difficult one for me, as my auntie in South Africa passed away, her name was Helleen Kleynhans. Sadly being so far away from pretty much any country in the world I wasn't able to attend the funeral which was yesterday.I don't usually post about these types of things but I just felt the need to today.

My Little Insight Shop

Black Magazine Inspired Outfit

This outfit was inspired by a new favorite magazine of mine called Black Magazine 
(a New Zealand fashion magazine). 

I might have forgotten to mention that this jean levi's jacket got passed on to me a week or so ago and it was my father-in-laws preference of choice to go party in back in the day. Apparently this piece is not short of 15 years old...

A big trend at the moment is mixing your brown and black gears together. In the past it use to be a big no no, however things have changed and I notice more and more bloggers and fashionistas approaching this new look. 

Gold seems to be a new feature to 2013 as well. I get my golden goodies from Forever21, an amazing website filled with affordable fashion gear from the US. They have some new apparel coming in as we speak and you can usually find me on their website scouting for a sale of some sort!  

2012 In A Blink

It feels unreal that the end of 2012 is creeping up so fast! It was a jam packed year. 
Some of the highlights of 2012 in no particular order was:

* Traveling to Europe
* Featuring in Harper's Bazaar Arabia Magazine and Abode Magazine
* Attending the Lacoste re-opening night in Doha, 
* Meeting Cat Stevens & James Blunt
* Attending Wham at the W Doha Hotel

Element Eden has also been very supportive this year regarding keeping us up to date on their latest collections and what's hot on the trend carpet for the next season. Let's see what 2013 will hold in store for us!
