Macarons on a rooftop | Travel

French striped top from : Valleygirl
Blue Navy pants: Splash
Brown Belt
Sunglasses: Rayban

On the rooftop of our apartment is where you can see some the city layout. It's an amazing view & it's here where I dream of all our travels. My biggest desire is to go to France. So to make this dream a little more of a reality I got a box of macarons from Paul Maison De Qualité Fondée en 1889. I found this cute little box of bliss in Landmark Mall in Doha, Qatar.

On another exciting note, Qatar Fashion Week is coming up sometime soon & it will be Qatar's first fashion week in the history of Qatar. I am really looking forward to it! I have been stalking the facebook page for a while now. To check it out yourself click here.

ps: I also have a job interview on the 4th of September! Wish me all the best as I am rather excited.

Palm Trees & Summer Bliss | Travel

Peach top: Glassons
Vintage floral dress: Valleygirl
Satchel: Vintage
Necklace: Diva
Hat: Farmers Hat

It's super hot here in Doha and I believe it's a place where summer lasts all year long! Me & Mike and a few other new friends took a taxi to The Corniche which is a walkway along the beach side.

It was amazing just to soak up a bit of green grass and the city lights. So far I enjoy living in Doha, Qatar. There are many new things to still discover but for now The Corniche is my favourite spot!

DIY: Fancy Popcorn

One thing that I am craving here in Doha is Kettle Corn flavored popcorn. Luckily Design Love Fest was able to hook me up with an amazzzing rosemary infused olive oil, dark chocolate & salt tutorial. Not only is it something I have never tried but definitely something I want to go and try out in my kitchen as we speak.

Enjoying the Souq Waqif in Doha, Qatar | Travel

French red striped top: Valley Girl
Long black dress: Dotti
Satchel: Vintage

Me & Mike visited The Souq Waqif in Doha, Qatar which is a night market. And believe me it's so big that you can't even walk through it all on one night. It's filled with neat places to eat, fashion, perfume, nuts, seeds, animals.... pretty much anything you can think of!

I bought some arabic sweets which was amazing. They really do love their pistachio chocolates over here I have to say.  To read a good review via Lonely Planet click here.

We are also making lots of new friends which is fantastic, especially when you have just moved from a different country. We are finding the people to be very friendly and lovely. We have learned a little bit of Arabic which has helped us through our bargaining which is always a good thing.

Inside our first adventure in Doha, Qatar | Travel

Wearing: French striped top
Glassons Olive green pants
Supre Hat: Farmers
Satchel: Vintage

Hi all! It's nice to be back after our 24 flight from New Zealand. We have been here 5 days already and we are trying to get our bodies adjusted to the time difference. We arrived safe and sound at Doha's International airport.

Our first adventure was visiting the Villagio Mall in Doha, Qatar. The theme as you can see is from Venice. This mall has a stream running right through the mall, where you can get into a Gondola and drift along the water pass shops. It is truly a fantasy land.

Beauty in Simplicity

Hello everyone, it's Amanda from Here Comes the Sun dropping by today. As you would all be aware by now Sone and her husband have made the move to Dohar, Qatar! I've seen a couple of pictures of their adventure so far and it looks like they're having a blast. I'm sure as soon as they're a little more settled in and the jetlag has worn off Sone will be updating you all on how it's going.

In the meantime I hope you're enjoying these guest posts. The pictures above are by Leslie Thomson. I always admire photographers who can capture so much beauty in the most simple, everyday items.

Guest post: The Drifter and the Gypsy

On My Bookcase

Hello! My name is Micaela and I run The Drifter and the Gypsy blog. I blog about fashion, photography, and life. Today, I'm sharing what's on my bookcase. My bookcase is definitely my favorite part of my room. I display vintage knick knacks, books, and other random thrift store finds. In the corner of the bookcase, I keep letters friends and family have written to me over the past few years. Some of the stuff on display was gifted to me when I was very young. I've never had one favorite item, but rather, my bookcase is a prized collection of everything important to me. What's on your bookcase?

Guest Post: Amongst Lovely Things.

Hello friends.
Who doesn't like lovely things? Well when I stumbled across Amongst Lovely Things, I knew this was a shop to bookmark! I reckon if the plates you use to eat out of look pretty, your food will just taste so much better as well (just my theory of coarse!). Filled with so many beautiful treats, it is definitely a little site to check out!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Guest Post: See Me Everywhere

Hi lovelies! It's Ilana here from See Me Everywhere and I will be helping out Sone (along with Amanda) to keep you all entertained while Sone is off on her big adventure and settles in.

Today I thought I would share these incredible quirky jewellery pieces by So Little Time. I have been around jewellery and working with it for the last four odd years so do love and adore jewellery more than most people. I just love the sweet shapes and colours used to create these pieces and really does brighten up the mood of an outfit.

Lovely being with you here today and see you again tomorrow!

Sean Flanigan Love

I only stumbled upon this photographer by looking at pixie haircuts and found Sean's Photography. His photography is whimsical, fresh and has hints of vintage in it. He does everything from Portraits, Weddings & Fashion shoots.

"I’m not much for talking about myself, but it turns out it’s really important." Sean Flanigan

*On another note I have Ilana from See Me Everywhere & Amanda from Here Comes The Sun blog that will be guest bloggers for me here on Polli while I immigrate to Qatar. I am really looking forward to what they will be posting.
