2012 In A Blink

It feels unreal that the end of 2012 is creeping up so fast! It was a jam packed year.
Some of the highlights of 2012 in no particular order was:

* Traveling to Europe
* Featuring in Harper's Bazaar Arabia Magazine and Abode Magazine
* Attending the Lacoste re-opening night in Doha,
* Meeting Cat Stevens & James Blunt
* Attending Wham at the W Doha Hotel

Element Eden has also been very supportive this year regarding keeping us up to date on their latest collections and what's hot on the trend carpet for the next season. Let's see what 2013 will hold in store for us!

Lula Magazine, Cupcakes & MAC Lipstick

I had a lazy day and got stuck into one of my favourite magazines called Lula Magazine which I picked up in Barcelona on our trip in Europe. I had Frankie my cat keeping me company and giving me lots of cuddles on a sunny afternoon.

As a lover of pink I also picked the new Nicki Minaj Mac lipstick which I absolutely love. I love that she finally collaborated with MAC, and the good news is that you can grab this lipstick here for only US $15! Score :)

My Happy Ever After

Today me and husband will be celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary. It will be our first time celebrating it in the middle east so we thought of booking a couples massage at the  West End Doha at the Saray Spa. It will be my first massage in a year and it couldn't have come at a better time to be honest. Putting a magazine together each month isn't for the faint hearted.

It's so nice to look back at all our adventures over the years. Our trip to Europe would probably be my highlight of our married adventures! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend ahead of you. Only a few days left to Christmas you know.

Being a fashion blogger from New Zealand, I was really excited moving to Qatar as they have quite a big variety of shops from Europe and America here in Qatar, which you can't really find in New Zealand.

Oh I also stopped over at the hairdresser this week, and got my hair trimmed up a bit, I have gone back to having it really short again. What do you think?

Twenty-Seven Names NZFW 2012

Oh good old New Zealand has such amazing fashion designers & Twenty-Seven Names probably has to be one of my favourites. Their A/W 13 Thought you'd never ask collection is really cute. I am still yet to attend my first  New Zealand Fashion week which is something to look forward to.

A Forever Summer

After a long day at work, me & Mike decided on a snack attack and some cool lemon lime and bitters to cool us down for the day. This weekend we are looking into catching up with some friends we also also looking forward to attending Qatar National Day which will be held on the 18th of December 2012.

You can expect fireworks, grid lock traffic and flags distributed all over Doha + the odd Qatar decorated cupcake! For more information on how Qatar will celebrate their National day (which by the way is even a public holiday) check out their officail website here.

ps: I suggest putting on your backpack and parking at least a 1km away from the Corniche where all the events will take place.

Me and Mike's weekend was spend enjoying some lovely fresh macarons from Dean & Deluca in Villagio Mall in Doha. The macarons where scrummy. All sorts of flavours where available and they had the loveliest selection of gourmet everything!

It was nice to see some of the stores in Villagio having Christmas trees and decoration on the windows. It made my realize that Christmas is around the corner and last year this time I spend it with family in South Africa. It's funny how time flies.

It's Christmas Time

credit: danielle thompson photography

It’s that time of year again! Yes it's Christmas time, my favorite time of the year. My list of big day preparations has grown alarmingly, and now the party invitations are beginning to arrive. But is it worth the hassle of pulling out your evening dresses and doing the social rounds, or are you better off at home with a glass of mulled wine?

Isme.com
, predicts the majority of women are planning to attend at least one Christmas party this year, with one in three women planning on dropping into two or three parties during the season. What are your plans for this Festive season?
