  13. Oh Soné, what a wonderful giveaway! I couldn't think of anything I would like to win more than one of Bec Winnel's beautiful works of art :) Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity!

I have been in love with Bec's many talents ever since I saw one of her breathtaking portraits on Blanket, back in 2009. Ever since then I have been in awe of her sensibility, creativity and wonderful technique to convey poetry and magic into art. If I win, I will choose In the Absence, so that I can frame it and hang it in my favourite place of the little house I live in. This piece is absolutely amazing and it has so many elements which are dear to me... I have always been a horsey sort of girl and there is nothing in the world that can compare to the heart-pounding happiness I felt when my old horse Teddy and I went for long rides around the farm back in Brazil. The girl portrayed by Bec actually reminds me a lot of my best friend, who now lives on the other side of the world and who I have the opportunity to see only once a year. I miss her incredibly! And the rainbow... Ahhhh, rainbows truly are my favourite thing!

All of my fingers will be crossed from now on!

I love the illusionists. Well, who am I kidding... I love ALL of them! Bec Winnel = the best. I like the illusionists because of the engaging connection you (as a viewer) feel through they're eyes. It's sensual/ethereal/eerie all in one amazing illustration.

  23. I would first like to say that the BANNIE piece was the first one I saw and subsequently that made me completely enamored with her work. If I had a copy of it on my wall, it would inspire me daily even more to become the artist I've been striving to for years. She's incredibly talented and I hope one day someone will be interested in my artwork too!

  36. Dear heaven, moon and stars... Bec's work is insane! As a fellow artist I can appreciate how much time and dedication it takes to put out something like this.. and her attention to detail, shading and the overall feeling of the image is incredible.

I am so happy that I stumbled upon your blog. First off, I'm head over heels o b s e s s e d with it, and second WHO DOESN'T LIKE FREE STUFF? Ha, I know I sure do.

I'm in the process of redoing my room and "Intermission" would look absolutely perfect on my wall. As shallow as it is to judge someone by the way they look/what's on the outside.. I think the girl in this print is someone I would like to be/hang out with. The spirit that is embodied within the print is one of bliss, pure and true happiness.. euphoric almost. Not only that, but I think it captures my outlook on life perfectly, "Renew your mind and let your light shine." Clearly this girl is one with the world, experiencing each and every moment and is truly painting with the colors of the wind.

Okay, that may have sounded a bit odd, but it makes sense in my head.. I think what I'm trying to say is the print captures how I feel when someone else can see the world/appreciate it through my eyes and can see all that God has created. Basically, how I feel when others embrace all that he has provided.

I would love to have this print as a daily reminder on my wall.
