I'm a firm believer in less is more. There is something about the simplicity of these images and sometimes I believe it's the simplicity in photo's, art, craft and any form of art that makes people yearn for a simple life.

Sometimes I wish we lived in simpler times and  eat dinner together as families and not in front of the TV, live in a connected community and not running around from A - B because our iPhone said so.  And yes I am guilty of all the above because society have pushed us into these lifestyles.

And I guess there are pro's and con's to it. The thought of it all just leaves me wonder what life would be like. That's probably why I am so drawn to Lui's amazing photographer.Unfortunately I couldn't get much from her Russian website, but I do know that her occupation is being a lawyer (administrative law) and that she is based in Tbilisi, Georegia.

Kendi Everyday

Kendi Everyday is a cute blog about a girl who got married and moved to a small town - and instead of getting pregnant... she started a blog. I really enjoy her outfit posts. They are very inspirational and oh so colourfull.

While me and my husband are babysitting and houssitting a friends house, we have been enjoying the outdoors and watched Avatar with the kids which have been rather fun. It's fun watching kiddie movies again - it reminds me of my childhood with blankets and popcorn!

Paris: Fashion Week

I don't think you have lived until you have been to Paris Fashion Week. And I intend to go one day soon! Living in Qatar at the moment it's only a 6 hour flight which makes it even more tempting! It's something I have to do on my bucket list!

For the moment I am really excited to attend the Qatar Fashion Week here in Doha. It will be Qatar's first fashion week which makes it even more exciting! I also look forward to catching up with Carla Mallari from Nomad* blog. Nomad*blog is set on a mission to inject more Fashion knowledge in Doha.

Oh Orange!

There is nothing better than a new pair of shoes! I desperately needed some new shoes, as I have left so many other bits and pieces behind in New Zealand. Thanks for Call it Spring for providing such a good range of pretties to choose form.

We are also on our way to a desert safari, where we will be able to ride camels, do a bit of dune bashing, and swim in the see. I promise to take loads of pictures!

DIY Headband

The beauty department blog is filled with amazing DIY tutorials. This headband tutorial is definatly one of my favourites. With having really short hair now I need some new headbands to spice up my "look" as it can get rather boring just styling it to one side with my pixie haircut.

On another note, I am also going to South Africa for a month from the 7th Dec - 5th of Jan which is something I am really looking forward too. I will be able to show my husband where I grew up. He has never been to South Africa himself, coming from New Zealand, so this should be a real adventure for the both of us. Fingers crossed that we will be able to do a Safari!

Oh how I love Instagram {feel free to follow me on Instagram under Polli blog}!I am totally in love with my cat called Frankie, he is the cutest thing alive, honestly he just flops into your lap. I don't think I have ever had such a cuddly cat.

I got home one day and Mike said he had a surprise for me, and little did I know it was going to be a cat. With living in Doha and traveling around it wasn't going to be a good idea so we decided not to get any animals. However, we missed out cats in New Zealand so much we couldn't resist! And yes I named him after my favourite magazine called Frankie.

The Studio of Mae

Love Mae was formed in 2008 when three lovely ladies set out to make the world (at the very least, they declared, the average home) a more beautiful place.





Today I want to share with all of you favourite things from a shop called Studio of Mae a new online favourite of mine. If I could I would put everything in this online store in my little pocket and run away with it lol !

If I can choose anything I want for this Festive Season it would have to be anything from  The Studio of Mae. Don't you love that "ahaaa" feeling when you stuble upon an amazing little blog or online shop?

And who would have thought Christmas have creaped up so soon - gosh it's only 2 months till Christmas! I am currently looking at buying tickets to fly to South Africa for Christmas with my husband. Next on my list will have to be a pair of glitter mui mui booties. I found these cuties on Net-A-PORTER  a cute online store via Miss Moss.They really are one of a kind these mui mui booties.

I am trying to get rid of an awe-full cold, so if you have a remedy I could try please do tell. I have the worse sore throat yet.

I heart H&M

I recently got a few pieces from H&M and it included this retro burned orange skirt with a pastell pink top. The moment I have something new in my closet I usually tend to wear it at least twice times in a week just to get over the excitement of new clothes! Does anybody else get like that about new clothing?
