I have fallen in love with Sasha Prood's Illustrations. Especially the owl & flower illustrations. This girl has some incredible talent. Based in New York this Graphic Designer/Illustrator & paper lover is at the top of my inspiring list at the moment.

Teacups

There is nothing better than a hot cup of tea after a long day of hard work. My husband just got back from Sri Lanka and brought me back some banana tea! I am super excited to try it as I have never even seen banana tea on any shopping racks before.

I am also finding it a bit difficult finding pretty teacups in the Middle East or should I rather say in Qatar. Hopefully Dubai might have some. I might have to plan a trip soon I guess!

It Always Seems Impossible Until It's Done

 I have always been a fan of pretty pink things, I guess it's just a girl thing! I recently spotted in The Sweetest Occasion this cute little post here. This post is close to my heart as I have been struggling to finish deadlines at work. And I guess living in a different country also looked impossible to start of with, but I have lived and I have learned. And today I am happy to say that I am proud of what I have achieved so far. The trick is to look beyond the current struggles but to look at what's already been achieved and to take every day as it comes.

The week of my life

This week would have been the most memorable experience of my life in Qatar, Doha. Through  my work I was able to  have met Cat Stevens & photographed his concert.



I also had the opportunity to have taken photos of James Blunt upon his visit here in Qatar, Doha at Virgin store on Valentine's Day and attend his show. And thanks to Sad Shop I received this pretty little card in the post which made my week extra special.

 

Valentine's was a low key blast if I can put it that way. Me and Mike had a relaxed day strolling around the city as it was a public holiday here. He took me out for lunch at our favorite Indian Restaurant and watched movies in bed.

I better return to my desk (on the bottom right hand side) as I am furiously working to finish our monthly magazine called Qatar Happenings. It's an event magazine based in Doha, Qatar. My job is filled with excitement and I love the people I work with.

Ever heard of this family business called Yue? They specialize in Western leather goods & each piece is handmade with limited quantities, so if your keen to get one of these cuties, you might want to get in line fast!

On another note, it's Thursday here in Doha, Qatar and everybody is filled with excitement for the weekend! Especially me, as I am super excited to be able to sit in with the Editor at my work for an Interview with Cat Stevens. Plus my husband bought me a ticket to go and see him with friends tonight!

Fujifilm Instax Adventures

Life in Qatar goes fast! We are having so much fun. I got a Fujifilm mini Instax camera and have been snapping away this weekend. Me and Mike also went to Murakami Ego's amazing exhibition (the artist who did Kanya West bear illustrations in his music video). It was amazing, they had a circus tent inside the museum with giant toys and jewelry stands everywhere.

I also visited the Food Festival which was a blast, they had jars of Macarons and amazing foods to taste. Next coming up I will be going to see Cat Stevens live here in Doha! I am excited and can't wait. I will definitely be taking loads of photos!

Vanessa Jackman

Yipee, I found a great blog aclled Vanessa Jackman. She is an Australian Laywer turned photographer living in London. She recently posted about Renee Kitchen who has a pixie hair cut which is similar to mine, and I couldn't resists but to share.

It's the weekend, and we will be enjoying a barbecue in the desert this weekend with friends which I really look forward to. Then perhaps a music concert.. who knows. I promise to share all my adventures with all of you soon.

I really enjoy spotting new trendy little stores from Etsy, and "Mother" is one of them. Such a quirky and interesting new collection.


 I also attended a Press Conference at The Oyster at the Pearl in Qatar, they spoke about Qatar's first Fashion Week that will be hosted at The Pearl in November. (Check out the photos on my Twitter account or my Instagram). I am really looking forward to attending this event.
