Falconwright

Flicking through my Pinterest page, I spotted Pia-Sadie Marshall repined the lookbook by Falconwright. It caught my eye because of all the vibrant colors & use of prints and illustrations used.

The Falconwright team from Canada screen print onto leather goods and all of it is handmade. They are such a creative bunch! Make sure you stop over to say hi!

InstaQuote App

Over the weekend I have been trailing this awesome app on my iPhone called InstaQuote which is linked with Instagram. It manipulates images and let's you write quotes on top of your favorite pictures on your phone. 

I probably have been spamming everyone on my Instagram (@polliblog). I guess that's what happens when you give an application like this to a graphic designer. 

Another app I can recommend is the VSCO Cam app. This app costs $1.29 and it changes all your images into a retro old school look in a blink of an eye.

It's All About Cats

As a huge cat lover I found some awesome cat inspired bedding, t-shirts and prints on Urban Outfitters.

As you might have found out on my Instagram & Twitter account my cat in New Zealand (Puss Puss) passed away last week which was awfully sad. He died of old age. So last week wasn't such a happy week for me. Luckily I have Frankie  (my cat here in Doha) to keep me company and give me cuddles.

I joined up with a photographer this week to take some fun fashion snaps and got to attend the Mona al Ansari Fashion Show  by the W Hotel which was loads of fun. It was based at the Lusail Marina Club. More photo's of our fun night out coming up soon. 

Apparently I also won a little something from the new Maison Martin Margiela collection via my Twitter from H&M. I am so wrapped, I can't wait to see what it is. Fingers crossed it's the red high heels shoes I posted on my Instagram.

Color Obsession

Over the weekend I went through my wardrobe and color coordinated it and found that my main 4 color options I have in my wardrobe was: 

1.  Lighter tones:    lavender purple, neutrals, beige, pink, peach, white
2.  Cooler tones:    mint green, aqua, sky blue 
3.  Warmer tones:  browns, burned orange & mustard yellow, red, olive green, hot pink
4.  Darker tones:    black and grey

I discovered with being fair, I tend to focus my fashion a bit more on softer tones, warmer tones and at times I like to go all black which is a nice contrast with my blond hair. Color Collective has a nice range of colors selections to choose from to give you some nice tips on how to color match your outfit.

Triangles

Triangle T-Shirt & Burned Orange Skirt H&M

Me & Mike had a slow weekend, of sleeping late, doing some house chores, 3 loads of washing and discovered some new restaurants along our 'lazy' weekend. We tried all sorts of new Arabian dishes & I think I am forever hooked on their 'lemon mint' drink.

Last week we also got to attend the W Hotel's Cabana Night which was fun! We got to see Cabana's made up in all shapes, designs and forms.

My favourite outfit right now: Striped button shirt from Zara, Lacoste black handbag, Leopard ring from Diva, Origami necklace from H&M

Lacoste gifted me a lovely black bag to try out when they launched their new opening in Villagio Mall. It goes with everything and I have been caring it around with me for the last 2 weeks. My stripped shirt I bought over in france when we went backpacking from H&M.

Element Eden HI Summer 12

I am currently swooning over the pastels, 1950's girly cuts, handcrafted crochet & polkadots from Element Eden's new Hi Summer Collection 12. Musician Claire Rayner was used as the face of the campaign. Don't you just love her pink hair? She really pulls it off.
