Oh Paris!

In July 2012 one of my biggest dreams came true. Since I can remember I have always been obsessed with the french culture, Paris & Moulan Rouge. Paris was beautiful, romantic and buzzing.

We strolled along the riviera munching on fresh baguettes & macaroons, walked endlessly to discover all the nooks in Paris and finally sat down to enjoy of the view of the Eiffel tower in all it's sparkling glory on a late afternoon.

It was a highlight to have finally tick Paris of from my bucket list.

Well happy Thursday everybody! The weekend has started here in the Middle East and I am looking forward to a relaxed weekend and much needed rest.

The Land Of The Long White Cloud

On a long week of work, deadlines and lack of sleep. I flick through my photos of New Zealand and remember those immensely amazing days. The greenery, the people....the lifestyle.

We have been in Doha, Qatar for exactly a year now. Life in Qatar feels like you live in a constant bubble than the rest of the world, and I find myself daydreaming of those crisp mornings with a hot cup of tea in my hand on those homesick days. And today has definitely been one of those days.

Spike It Up

We have moved in our new home here in Doha, and have Internet at home, Praise God! I can enjoy my blogging time again.

I thought it was time to get stuck back into Polyvore again, especially seeing what is out on the streets of Europe.

I fell in love with those black spiked slippers and bought me a pare of cream coloured slippers at Zara which I have faithfully been wearing the last couple of weeks. If your budget stretches as far as let's say $1,295 for some authentic Christian Louboutin spikes then be my guest. Unlike me I spend around 20 Euro's for a similar pair which I love 2 bits.

Scotch & Soda

Let me introduce Scotch & Soda to you. They are an Amsterdam based fashion brand and I discovered this shop in Italy on our European adventure.

Not only are their clothes rather ravishing the shop display was exquisite. You could see that allot of effort was put into the display in itself. They kept in mind the Italian culture and vibe of the city when they created the shop.

On a more personal level, I am moving house tomorrow! It has great features and are defiantly one of the more safer apartments in Doha after all our fires in our building.

I also picked up two street kittens along the rubbish dumps and took them home, which has caused a bit of a stir in the house since Frankie isn't having a bar of the new invasion taking place. As sad as it is I will have to find a house for them as soon as possible :(

I discovered the brand Kling* over in Florence and pretty much bought every single piece in the shop. It was bit like love at first sight lol..

Little Italy

Phew, it's nice to be back on here! Thank you to Ilana for looking after my blog while I was over in Europe. It didn't even feel like a proper month to be honest. The holiday felt more like a week and a half long break.

I'm struggling getting rid of my travel bug. Sitting in front of the computer doing my day to day job has become less amusing. And the days do feel longer now...

I thought I would start in Italy since Rome was our landing pad.

Kele Clothing

This Hungarian brand called Kele Clothing recently caught my eye while I have been on holiday in Italy and France.

I have noticed that the mustard yellow and bright blue trend is hitting the streets of Europe. In Italy had their own individual style and in France it was a mixture of street style mixed in with vintage clothing.

For those who are following me on Instagram (polliblog.com),  you would have noticed that we are still in France and are heading to Spain soon which should be great.

Top Four Places To See In Paris

After our week in Italy we decided to hop over to France on a 10 hour train ride to swing into Paris for a couple of weeks. In no particular order I have to recommend these top four places to visit in Paris even if you are there for a day or perhaps even a week:

1. Eiffel Tower
2.Moulin Rouge
3. Le Louvre Museum
4. The Versailles

We spend a total of 4 nights in Paris which wasn't nearly enough.However my personal highligh had to be the Eiffel tower and seeing the Versailles.

Traveling the World.

Why hello there lovelies! This is Ilana from See Me Everywhere, filling in while Sone is off exploring the world and having a grand ol' time.

I thought today I would share some snapshots from Sone's travels, as they are so breathtaking and it really makes me want to pack my bags today and hit the road to go travel Europe! So far they've explored the beautiful city of Rome and as you can see, you cannot go to Italy without enjoying some real Italian pizza! Next off to Tuscany! Jealous!

A New Page

I have a fantastic and very exciting 'Birthweek' as it's still carrying on believe it or not. I got given tickets from a fab friend to go see Circus Soleil here in Doha tomorrow night which I have mentioned before and on Saturday me & Mike will be going to the Philharmonic Orchestra.

THIS WEEK:
1. My workmates bought a ton of cupcakes to celebrate my Birthday
2. I have helped styled our DIY photoshoot for our summer issue which I am so excited to
    see published! I will be blogging about this one (keep an eye out for it)
3. Relieved to see the July/August Magazine published!
4. For my Birthday this year me and some friends came together for brunch at The Marriott which was a huge treat.
5. Last but not least we are leaving for a big adventure to Italy, France & Spain for a week and
See Me Everywhere will be Guest Blogging, so expect to see some lovely post from her.

Like some of you might know living an expat life overseas away from "The Real World" has it's challenges, and allot of decisions attached to it of course. Sometimes you feel like your drowning, and other days your on top of the world.

But tomorrow is going to a great day because I will be turning a year older. I had an early Birthday Celebration this year and enjoyed an afternoon with some friends having brunch at The Marriott here in Doha which was super nice!

Plans for my 25th Birthday:
1. Finish work early
2. Spending the day with friends
3. Visit The Souq
4. Take our Neighbors to the Airport and wish them well on their journey back to New Zealand
5. Skype with friends & family

PS: We also just got given tickets to see Circus Soleil from some amazing friends which is so special!
